Owner | Sonographer | Visionary
Life’s First Portrait was founded with a heartfelt mission: to connect families with the incredible joy of seeing their little one for the first time. As a seasoned ultrasound professional, Gregory Hobbs has been part of countless unforgettable moments when parents see their baby on screen—moments filled with wonder, laughter, and happy tears. He envisioned a place where those experiences could be celebrated affordably and meaningfully, and Life’s First Portrait was born.
“This studio is about more than technology—it’s about heart. Every family deserves to feel the joy of bonding with their baby, no matter their background or budget.”
Gregory is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through ARDMS, holding multiple certifications in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Breast, Pediatric, and Vascular imaging. His Master’s degree in Digital Learning and Leading allows him to bridge technology and healthcare in innovative ways. As the Program Director of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography school, Gregory mentors the next generation of sonographers, instilling both skill and compassion in the future of the field.
At Life’s First Portrait, Gregory and his team specialize in the latest 5D HD Live ultrasound technology. Their elective sessions—typically 30 minutes long—offer incredibly detailed and lifelike views of baby’s face, features, and movements. Each session is carefully designed to be relaxing, intimate, and memorable.
“We don’t just offer scans—we create experiences that families will talk about for a lifetime.”
What sets Life’s First Portrait apart is its commitment to accessibility. With the lowest pricing in the region, the studio delivers top-tier service without compromise. Every scan is performed by an ARDMS-registered sonographer, ensuring expert care in a welcoming and family-first environment.
For the best imaging results, Gregory recommends sessions between 26 and 34 weeks of pregnancy, with consistent hydration beforehand to optimize clarity. These scans are designed to celebrate pregnancy—not replace clinical care—and provide families with keepsake moments that bring them closer to their baby.
